About these terms
Katori is provided by Katori, a sole proprietorship of Sarthak Sachdeva registered in India (Udyam UDYAM-DL-02-0132001), at A-62, A Block, Street 4, Delhi 110051. By using Katori, as a coach or as a client, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice.
The service
Katori lets nutrition coaches and dietitians follow their clients' meals over WhatsApp. Clients send meals as photos, voice notes or text. Katori estimates the foods and portions, compares them with the coach's plan, and shows the coach a summary. An assistant answers simple questions that the coach's plan covers and drafts other replies for the coach to approve.
Katori is currently offered as a pilot to invited coaches. Features may change as we learn from the pilot, and we will tell coaches before a change that affects them.
Who can use Katori
- You must be 18 or older.
- Clients can only join through a coach who uses Katori, and only after agreeing to the consent message.
- You must also follow WhatsApp's own terms, because the service runs on WhatsApp.
Coaches
- You are responsible for the plans you write and the advice you give, including any reply you approve or send through Katori.
- Only invite people who have agreed to be your clients, and only use Katori for their nutrition programme.
- You decide how your clients' information is used in your programme. We process it on your behalf, as described in the privacy notice.
- Keep your login safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Clients
- Send only your own meals and information.
- Meal estimates are approximate. If something looks wrong, reply with a correction or send UNDO.
- Send STOP to leave and DELETE MY DATA to have your information deleted, at any time.
Not medical advice
Katori is a logging and communication tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor. The assistant does not answer questions about medicine. If you have a medical concern, speak to a doctor. In an emergency, call 112.
Acceptable use
Do not use Katori to send spam, to message people who have not agreed to it, to share someone else's information without permission, to upload anything unlawful, or to interfere with the service or try to get around its safety features.
Fees
Coaches pay the monthly plan shown on our website or agreed with us in writing. Pilot coaches get their first month free. Clients do not pay Katori. Plans can be cancelled at any time and take effect at the end of the current month. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
Ending the service
A coach can stop using Katori at any time. Clients are then told that logging has stopped, and their data is kept for 30 days so the coach can export it, and then deleted. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why unless the law prevents us.
Liability
We work hard to keep Katori accurate and available, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will be free of errors or interruptions, including those caused by WhatsApp or other providers. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to a coach is limited to the fees that coach paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. If we cannot, the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction.
